Yankee Stadium
Yankee Stadium     In April of 1923, upon emerging from the clubhouse and taking the field at Yankee Stadium for the first time, Babe Ruth proclaimed, "This is some ballyard!" On September 21, 2008 the "Cathedral of Baseball" closed its doors forever, making way for a new stadium across River Avenue. This is my photographic tribute to Yankee Stadium.

This 5 minute slideshow is my photographic tribute to Yankee Stadium. All of the photographs were taken by me (except the two I am in), from the 1970's photos of Thurman Munson and Reggie Jackson to the 2008 photograph of Derek Jeter tying Lou Gehrig's record for most hits at the Stadium. The slideshow also contains photographs of family and friends at the stadium. A few photographs of the New Yankee Stadium are included as well. Background music is by Coldplay.
