The following are photographs of Veronica, a semi-wild, red-tailed hawk who has made our local nature center her home for the past four years. She is free-flying (not captive) and sometimes disappears for weeks at a time. But she always finds her way back, much to the delight of her growing number of fans. As I write this in early 2008, Veronica is here, gracing our winter sky and giving us a rare glimpse into the life of a hawk. The file size of all the photographs has been greatly reduced for faster webpage loading. The original files show much finer detail and it is from these original files that your photograph will be printed. For information on purchasing photographs click here. as a soft-covered book. Pale Male's exploits are documented daily by photographer Lincoln Karim. Click here to visit the site.
